Vendors launch mining hardware, build proprietary pools, then vanish. The hardware remains capable and valuable, but the owners are locked in place with no other way to deploy their equipment.

Verification
Every share is validated
The node runs the full chain validation on every submitted share before acceptance.
Other pools accept shares and validate them later, sometimes making mistakes or allowing stale work to slip through. EarthMine validates each share against the chain in real time, before it is accepted.
Shares that are stale, duplicate, or malformed are rejected immediately. Only real, verified work counts toward your rewards. This means the work you submit is work that matters.
You can audit this behavior. The node never lies about what it accepted or why it rejected a share. Verification is transparent and enforced by the protocol.

Full control
Repoint your miner whenever you choose
You are never locked in. Change pools, test different networks, or go dormant without permission.
The standard stratum protocol includes a feature called the "stratumproxy" or pool redirects that lets you change pools at will. EarthMine honors this completely.
If you want to test another pool, redirect your hardware there. If you want to go back to EarthMine, point it back. If you want to store your hardware for a season and come back later, that choice is entirely yours. There is no penalty, no registration to revoke, and no account to close.
This freedom is not a side effect. It is the whole design. A pool that cannot be left is a pool that controls you. EarthMine refuses to build that lock-in.
